it looks like a purple

i don’t mind the purpcano
and i like that it
was forged in a fortnight
but the big brand issue
was never the logo
it’s always been the name
@base.base.eth
for example is a
20x better name
it’s not a verbal mystery
it’s because B is a plosive!
plosives are explosive
and propulsive
crypto is vying
for explosive growth
babies say B words
(voiced bilabial plosives)
long before they
utter an F word
the soft truth is that
fricatives are far too
fickle for the now
fricative starts
can sometimes
be saved by
strong succeeding
plosives
e.g. faceBOOK
a plosive iamb
but
FAR-cas-ter
is a hopelessly doomed
dactylic fricative
fricatives produce
sound by constricting
the vocal tract
and there’s no counteracting
explosion in the two terminal
syllables…so it withers
and goes out in a
whisper
notice how you constrict
your vocal tract whenever
you pronounce farcaster
that’s an enfeebling feeling
notice how your lips explode
with the air of grandeurs
whenever you
say BASE
farcaster
must be
renamed
