creativity is innate, which you can see if you look at most kids. they just don’t have a lot of skill (and are sometimes annoying with it tbh) so it’s not always recognized or valued this means that we only need to learn how to get around the insecurities and traumas that keep us from experiencing creative flow again and we automatically pop back into that mode of being i like using a combination of these: 1. heal the underlying trauma/fears 2. create a higher purpose/mission statement so that the fears seem unimportant and you stop focusing on yourself 3. create a safe container where the fears are irrelevant and just practice creativity to simply flex that muscle for 3, which is probably the easiest, i suggest choosing an inexpensive medium—could be something different every day—then try making the worst possible garbage and destroying it. the crappiest poem. the ugliest drawing of your cat. the most horrific jazz solo without value judgements you can practice creativity by itself until you feel confident and it becomes your natural state again. skill can be worked on separately later this is basically the secret to an ecstatic, powerful, and free life. but most people won’t go there
