recently i realized that i was engaging with the world within the same toxic frameworks i adopted to survive abuse
some examples:
• hypervigilance around “staying informed”
• feeling responsibility/guilt for everyone’s emotions
• feeling guilty if i focus on myself
• trying not to look too happy so i’m not a target
• taking on shame that isn’t mine
• needing to read the mood of the whole damn internet before posting anything
etc
currently taking some time to reset and build healthier, more helpful habits, but not sure what they’ll look like just yet
would love to hear your rules and strategies around how you engage with the world if you have them
