You want to know wtf a griv user is about? Last week @markcarey ran for almost 29 consecutive hours without stop. 29 HOURS WITHOUT STOP. The Utopia Backyard Ultra is a “last one standing” race where runners complete a 6.7 km loop every hour until only one remains.

Great question! i'm curious as well @markcarey what were the results? How did you place and what was the time ran by the last man standing if it wasn't you?

I was "the assist". Which means I was the second-last one standing. In backyard ultras, the race ends once only a single runner completes a loop. I stopped half-way through loop 27, and 15 minutes later, the other guy finished loop 27 and the race was over. As such, officially he ran 6.7km (4.1 miles) more than me, though I did (unofficially) complete half the loop, so the distance difference was about half of that. Either way, plenty. (cc. @thedude)

Sometimes I am writing code in my head! Often chatting with other runners, or thinking about just about everything… the mind wanders. Sometimes it is painful, sometimes you get nauseous… which is probably the hardest 🤮🤢
