this reminds me that i have a question: let's say you have a contract that uses a function to generate image src (svg) a la checks...what's the limit on how computationally expensive that can be? afaik it doesn't use any gas somehow

Different marketplaces have different gas limits on view functions

yeah, what sayangel said

for a long time i thought it needed to be 30m gas to be “safe”

but chatting with @diid mainly, realised it’s more like 300m

a friend is hitting limits with a Abstract contract rn and supposedly they are looking to increase theirs 

but you could then hit issues with marketplaces

so i think 300m is still the safe upper
