Evan Roth posted about his Graffiti Analysis project being 20 years old, so I dug up my 2005 Generator.x blog post about it. 

The way Evan captured the motion of drawing a tag so it could be played back in software blew me away, it was a perfect example of physical action transcribed as data so it could be re-manifested. Using guerilla projections (new in 2005) to "bomb" public spaces was perfect, too.

Basically posted a blog post on insta, I need a better solution post-Tumblr... 😅

The abandonment of blogs in favor of social media and "microblogging" (Twitter etc.) has certainly come full circle. Centralized platforms has been great for engagement and realtime dopamine loops, but it's clear that it hurts independent discourse. 

I'm too pragmatic to hope for a revolution, but more people publishing with RSS etc. would be a step in a good direction.
