My roots go back to before the revolutionary war and I hate it here. I know that sounds terrible knowing the horrors people went through to get here. I feel a little bad saying it but it is what it is. Especially being keenly aware that a lot of people were pushed to leave their home countries because of something sketchy America did.
I have gratitude for a lot but still…

pretty much the same everywhere
my most radical opinion is everyone should go through a citizenship tests (similar to the ones for immigrants becoming citizens) at 21
if you fail you still have permanent residency but not citizenship
however international law forbids making someone stateless

I have met some really cool immigrants. We all know the grass is not always greener on the other side. There are some really evil people on both sides of the boarder. We have to legally filter the bad ones out. That simply means we have to have laws that make it illegal to come into our country without going through a process. Why do people want illegal immigrants to go through due process when they didn’t go through the legal process in the beginning. Regardless where you come from, You cut in front of the line and get caught. You have to go back and wait like everyone else. Learned that in grade school
