One of the most important lessons that I’ve learned from crypto is about financing and interest. For the first 15 years of my adult life, interest was not something I cared about. If I could get financing, I did not care what the interest rate was. Hell, my last car before the Tesla was financed at the maximum legal limit for interest. (Like 20% or something)
This was partly from a lack of resources but also because I had never seen the implications of compound interest really play out. Since becoming a full fledged degen, my credit score has gone from like a 450 to 750+. I now have a much more healthy respect and understanding of interest. I revolt at the thought of paying more than like 2-3% on ANYTHING.
This might sound trivial for people who learned this stuff at a younger age; but I thought this was a cool positive implication of crypto for me personally.
