I don’t think it was nearly as much the case last time around. There were a lot of people in 2016 that voted for him because he wasn’t a traditional politician. I think that’s less true now that he’s been one for over a decade. For example, my parents voted for Trump in 2016 and didn’t in 2024. They were not thrilled with his first term.
