One misconception I see about spam labeling: "I'm a real human. I'm not a bot."

Claiming "I'm not a bot" doesn't change the quality of your content. If you're farming replies and not being thoughtful, that's spam.

And saying "Oh, I was just hoping to make some money, I'll do better in the future" doesn't work. Because every spammer will say the same thing.

It's not hard to not be spammy. Just cast a little less, be a little more thoughtful.

“You aren’t entitled to other people’s attention.” But, Farcaster still gives you the opportunity to. Treat it like the privilege it is and you won’t lose it. 

Repeatedly bug the shit out of people, and you probably will.

The financialization is what drives it but there’s a good way to do it and a bad one.

I think sometimes people forget that FC is a social media at the end of the day, you don’t farm replies and engagement on insta or x so why would you be weird and do it over here
