I think living in Japan had a huge influence on my writing! Not only in terms of the topic of my new book the puzzle box, but in the lifestyle that I learned while I was there. I worked in a Japanese high school, and the discipline and regularity that I learned there, has stayed with me ever since. I am an extremely disciplined writer. I write every day from eight until about 12:30 or one. Keeping that regularity and that discipline has allowed me to keep writing and publishing books. I wouldn’t have learned it without living in Japan!!
