My biggest trip was within myself – and this means Baltimore! Having a scholarship to live there with no strings attached or any worries has set the real me free. I arrived supposedly straight, curly black hair, no tattoos, taking antidepressants and healing from an abusive relationship. I didn’t wanna be alive. I left a year later with 14 tattoos, green hair with side cut, no antidepressants, definitely lesbian and about to sweep anyone i liked 🤷🏻♀️ It was the first time I felt happy for existing. I felt magnetic back then. I finished my BS at JHU, but the graduation apparently was about myself. B’more❤️

thank you 🫂 the university actually gave us all the support needed so we could be ourselves and i felt really safe. the power was within me but they’ve unleashed the beast!! (one that cries daily but it’s ok 😂)
