Alpha Engine is the backend engine that runs Secure Block Building (SBB).
It’s responsible for:
+ Receiving searcher transactions
+ Encrypting user transactions to protect them from manipulation
+ Ordering transactions correctly, so searcher transactions (like arbitrage or liquidation) run after the user ones (backrunning)
+ Ensuring all this happens fast, securely, and without hurting the user experience

Without Alpha Engine, L2s wouldn’t have a reliable system to capture MEV fairly. It automates and enforces the rules that make SBB safe and trustworthy for users and profitable for the L2s.
