Sir Francis Galton was an inventor, geographer, meteorologist, tropical explorer, and pioneer of genetics, anthropologist, and statistician. He was a cousin of Charles Darwin. He was the founder of eugenics, the science of improving human races, in which some races are believed to be superior to others. He has been called the father of the intelligence test, is often credited with the invention of fingerprinting, and is credited with the invention of statistical analysis in its modern form.
He published 340 papers and books during his lifetime. He also introduced the concept of correlation and the general extension of regression about the mean. 2 replies
