our car was stolen this weekend, along with a bunch of my guy's personal belongings.

it wasn't even a new car too. it was an old Japanese right hand drive that he imported and custom built for more than a year. a souped up island ride, if you will.

he'd just gotten into a new ocean sport and all the equipment he got is now gone. 

and the list of things we've gotta do to prevent identity theft, secure accounts, and protect our home (they have our keys now) is a mile long.

life is hitting people pretty hard these days; the fear and desperation is growing. they're taking more drugs. they're taking more risks. they're taking more of people's things. 

not sure what to do with these emotions yet, but it's hard not to feel super violated. 

also an interesting lesson in opsec, and realizing just how much is at stake when a stranger has your phone and ID.

iirc the first line of foresters ever made. super hard to get parts cuz the very next year they switched the models up. that's why the car is so special. he took a LONG time to put this together to make it work. soooo happy we got it back 😊
