Each time I get my hair done, my scalp starts to itch intensely. And no it’s not dandruff. The itching gets so bad that I can’t resist scratching and end up taking the hair out before a month. Does anyone know what I can do to stop this? I’d really appreciate that.

Maybe you have a very dry scalp. Moisturise it often. Before and after making your hair.
