what’s the RPC URL you have set for Base? The public one can be slow

slow? yes. slow popups at time. also, certain tokens take a moment to load and give me a scare. Example, $degen will sometimes show up and sometimes not.

I do have some custom networks but I mostly use mainnet and base. I find base to load token balances buggy.

MM in general is a dogshit app. Do the ppl that push the updates even use that app? I cant remember any useful update in the past.
One of the latest completely broke it, it's giga slow. You have to re-install it, but is pain if you have a lot of wallets (which is the case for me an others)
