I think the next couple of years will make sapient humanoids just as boring and everyday as robotaxis. crypto can be an accelerant through crowdsourcing many-to-concept. when do we see the Forrest Gumpbot cross the continent? which neighborhoods gain a prominence of "machines of loving grace"? what will schools fixate on, beyond more AI-based educational tooling? who knows, we'll see

i don’t think everywhere we go will move toward love and kindness, these things bring more isolation and loneliness, people who no longer need each other

this can be solved through more community gardens and bigger kitchens. love and kindness are comorbid with cohabitation in common works however, the technology is not absolutely isolated and lonely, the intent is more prosocial than that, even if the results are abysmal. we need more attention on just stewarding, teaching, healing in the third places.

has this really happened where you live? do you actually see these kinds of spaces? where i am, we don’t have them at all thinking about the existence of these spaces gives me a good feeling, i hope we reach that point

somewhat, the good thing about some of these is that they can survive on a shoestring, even if they barely get any attention. imho, there should be more livestream of such spaces, like any open-mic event at a coffeeshop, but even more oriented to physical teamwork. such memetics subliminally motivate others to seek out similar pursuits, which is an extreme improvement to doomscrolling in a gray and desolate world.
