I got $24 worth of gas the other day. I handed the attendant a $50 bill and four one dollar bills, so $54. He stood there, completely clueless, having no idea how much change he should give me. Even when I told him, “I get back $30,” he could not figure out what to hand me until I said, “Please give me a $20 bill and a $10 bill.” I am serious. It was sad.
