AOL Instant Messenger is 29 years old. Or would be if it wasn’t shut down in 2017. In the pre-social media days, AIM away messages were social media. In college, I was widely “followed” so people could see my daily “Today, Knight Rider taught me…” messages. I was viral before going viral was a thing.
