Thots? I recently had one of my best friends (gay dude) who is going through surrogacy with his husband, jokingly ask me if I’d carry their baby bc “no womb, no baby” I responded “no.” He got upset that I didn’t know how to take a joke

Perhaps. Or perhaps I see a boundary - there is more to it. I verbally said to him “I’m glad I established my boundary with that joke text” and then he got all emotional and was upset that I didn’t know he felt badly in general about the process. There was a lot of assumicide of my capacity for emotional labor on his part and I am DONE doing that with men
