Memphis Grizzlies rookie Jaylen Wells is awake, alert and moving his extremities after being taken off court in a stretcher tonight in Charlotte, his agent Aman Dhesi tells ESPN. Wells has sustained a broken right wrist, Dhesi said, and will continue receiving medical care.

There must have been an initial concern about a possible spinal cord injury (paralysis) after the fall and hard hit to floor, hence the loading him on the stretcher. Thankfully he is alert and able to move all of his extremities, so a serious spinal cord injury can be ruled out.
