Her name is Curiosity.

Lazily gazing westward from our Airbnb balcony in Barbados, past a stately row of three coconut palms, as a pair of hummingbirds flit and chirp among the fronds, a pair of doves coo and nuzzle one another in the tree canopy, and the sun makes its evening descent toward the horizon, glinting off the clear blue water of the Caribbean.

Waves gently lap the sandy beach below, and for a few sweet moments I forget the world beyond and am happy.

my wife and I are dog people, but Curiosity is a real sweetheart — though a little opportunistic as we were eating dinner out there 😆
