Microaggressions, microsexism... it’s deep in people’s DNA (so I kinda agree that we’re all a bit racist), but it’s a cultural thing that’s super hard to shake ‘cause it’s been there for centuries. About immigrant ghettos, since Spain isn’t a colonial power like others, those folks didn’t have to come here, so Spain isn’t used to diversity or finds it harder to accept, unlike France and its African colonies or the UK, for example. Still, the Latino community is pretty integrated in my opinion, though there’s always room to improve. Sharing the same language definitely helps. Oh, and I forgot to say a lot of people from Equatorial Guinea have been in Spain for years and integrated well since they speak Spanish there.
