U.S. Treasury Secretary Yellen says there are many strong candidates for Fed chair, with the selection process starting this fall.  
Reports suggest Trump may nominate a successor earlier to counter Powell’s influence, possibly by September or October.  
Potential picks include ex-Fed member Kevin Warsh, NEC director Kevin Hassett, and ex-World Bank chief Malpass.  
Yellen and Fed governor Waller are also in the mix. Trump’s frustration with Powell could speed up the decision.
