The concept of pluralism was drilled into me at an early age by the late Aga Khan. As a naive young Canadian, I was spoiled for pluralism and my thinking was usually, “duh, it’s obvious”. You can imagine how I felt as I watched new media and politics dismantle the very concept over the last couple of decades.
Now I know that pluralism, like freedom, isn’t free. It’s hard won, one mind at a time.
If you believe in it, it behooves you to practice and preach it.
