she bloomed  
not for the fence  
nor the gaze  
nor the myth of being picked.

her thorns knew  
what the petals never said —  
that softness without boundary  
is an invitation to be cut.

beside her, the honeysuckle clung —  
a different kind of longing.  
a twin. not a rival.

[ stanza.4 ]
the sky didn’t ask  
who planted her.  
it simply lit the pink  
as proof of her becoming.

you stood here  
not to be seen —  
but to see.  
to witness your own  
arrival.
