today is day 483 of my daily photo project /365photo on farcaster, and this autumn will mark 15 years since i started photography.
i’ve noticed that over time, my focus has shifted from portrait photography to landscapes and street photography, and i’m using my phone more often. the frustration of not having people willing to take pictures with me has completely disappeared, and i’ve stopped inviting others to shoots because, over the past few years, many new and more interesting creative opportunities have emerged. i keep experimenting, and it brings me joy.
also, i see and talk to people less often and spend more time on my phone, computer, and guitar, as well as drawing and research. i go for walks in the park and don’t go downtown unless absolutely necessary—no bars or parties.
everyone who was close is still close. i’ve met new friends online and offline this year, and we’ve connected over creativity and collaborative projects. there were also those who came and went, and that’s okay (making new friends at 35 isn’t easy).
i play fewer games and spend more time on development and design. i’ve learned javascript well enough to make my own games and apps. recently, i remembered how i dreamed of this back in school, and here we are many years later. as long as i’m curious and the fire burns, i’ll keep moving in this direction.
