Got an email from the WA State Green Party (of which I am a member), saying they are banning all use of generative AI in Green Party affairs, meetings, and communications including message boards and email discussion between members, INCLUDING their use as disability aids, in that case because "Advocates, particularly in the neurodiverse community, have spoken up against the use of tools like ChatGPT as disability aids, which can exacerbate executive dysfunction and increase cognitive load." What?? Wow. Yikes... Well I'm not above criticizing my own party and this is one where I just don't understand what they're thinking. Have you all seen this from other political groups in your area? Now I'm curious.

I really wonder how they figure it increases cognitive load? It’s saved me a 1000+ hours at least

I don't know how to interpret that comment of theirs besides: reactionary. Thankfully this is just a proposal and there's been some pushback from others so hopefully it gets scrapped and they go back to focusing on important things.
