Fun fact: I was the first person to post a baby announcement on this small island we call Farcaster. It’s grown a lot since. And for this brief moment I am the last. It’s a boy. After 4 girl pregnancies (2 difficult periods in life), we got a boy. Had very little expectation but, right before the moment of learning its gender I got this complete other worldly sense of, what do I teach this boy? and then I questioned that further and I went in a deep rabbit hole of divergent thoughts and i just boiled it down to… It’ll be the first time my wife looks at me as a SME, and the household began to feel balanced for this still moment in time. Let’s see how this progresses. Will report back. I will say it’s a very different sense of pressure that comes from making sure a boy is a decent citizen in this complex world today.
