This was my first time watching /gmfarcaster after @katekornish recommended it to me the other day 😁 It's exactly what I needed to get up to date news about everything that is going on in /farcaster and /base I felt more inspired today by the energy that Jesse was giving in this episode and his mega optimism. A few years ago, I quit using YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, Tuenti, Fotolog, MySpace, Friendster, the list is endless.. and I thought I’d never create again. I knew that it was only benefitting them, and I was just a mere puppet.

All the energy and motivation came back when I joined Farcaster a few years ago 🚀 Developing frames, and now mini-apps, became second nature and the opportunities are always around the corner. Seeing others succeed is like a dopamine rush 🔥 I always felt that creativity was limited with centralised services, and that all our content was used to boost their earnings. Now, all casts and content is owned by Farcaster users. It's the first time in history that we own what we create. Instagram/Facebook owned our accounts. Now we own our accounts and creations.

When I discovered the truth of monetizing my content, I saw that the take rate was SO low that I lost all motivation for creating music and content. I wasn’t creating... I was performing for an algorithm! Now, with the rebranded TBA app, it's possible to earn directly from posting original content, without any central authority benefitting from my creativity. Who else has felt this shift? Are we finally building the creator internet?
