in 20y of my career, ive been building software in 4 different industries dominated by the "get rich quick" mentality, and oh boy let me tell you, when they get rich quick it rarely ends well for them, people crash out hard, quarter-life-crisis, lots of tragic endings and "found out who my real friends are" etc basically what im saying is that getting a fuckload of money is many people's stated preference but i have managed to be much happier getting rich slowly

that's why fumbles like these were frankly really easy to swallow and i rarely feel bad for them easy come, easy go - i didn't work hard for these bags, so losing them didn't really hurt, i have no real regrets, having a million bucks would be rad but my current savings has been meticulously accrued and i feel very proud of how ive clawed and scraped and scrambled for every cent of it having a big pile of money that didn't cost you years and years of planning and effort will always feel unrewarding and you're ten times more likely to blow it in stupid ways https://farcaster.xyz/leewardbound/0x21981e51
