idk, ive won almost 2y of solid, reliable, high paying work across 2 gigs i found on here, ill probably try to use FC for future work prospects as well because builders build here and it's a good place to be building

sorry in what way do you mean then? i read OP as "nothing here is going to make my life better" and i thought maybe an inspirational testimonial would help, but i guess maybe you were talking more about the culture? or?

for the record: farcaster has brought a lot of value to my life. i won't pretend otherwise. but my life has changed and the returns are diminishing. to start: i don't work in tech anymore. i'm eschewing social media in favor of phone calls and meet ups. i'm no longer interested in the news or the memes. i live in a smaller city. crypto itself hasn't delivered on any of the promise i saw four years ago, and the gambling, circlejerking, and ragebaiting are not worth my peace. i have a small garden and a dog. i'm starting a business. i want to be a better uncle and friend and roommate. and while this place is dense with wisdom and information... ...it's ultimately a distraction. i won't find deeply edifying connection here, only a simulation of it. it's candy, when i'm being called to cook. and today was a feast.
