4. So, Which One Should You Use? ✔️ New users: Start with CEX for convenience. ✔️ Advanced users: Use DEX when you want control and early access. Just remember: - CEX = Convenience + Custodial Risk - DEX = Freedom + Self-Custody Risk Don’t blindly chase trends. Educate yourself. Even pro traders lose money when they skip fundamentals.

2. Centralized Exchanges (CEX): Easy, Popular — But Centralized CEX platforms are the most common entry point. Examples: Binance, Coinbase, Kraken, Bybit, and local ones like Tokocrypto, Pintu, Indodax. Why are they popular? - Easy sign-up and user-friendly UI - Fast trades and liquidity - Fiat on-ramp (you can buy with your bank) But you’re giving up control. CEXs hold your keys, not you. When you deposit funds, you trust a company to keep it safe. History has shown how dangerous that trust can be: 💀 Mt.Gox lost 850,000 BTC 💀 FTX misused billions of user funds 💀 Quadriga CEO died (or vanished?) with private keys If everyone tries to withdraw at once, these platforms can collapse. This is called a "bank run".

3. Decentralized Exchanges (DEX): Freedom and Control - But Risky. A DEX is a protocol (like Uniswap, PancakeSwap, or Curve) that lets you swap tokens without any centralized authority. Benefits: - No KYC or account needed - Full control of your assets (self-custody) - Trade early-stage tokens before they hit CEX - Transparency: everything is on-chain This is where many smart traders buy early. $SHIB and $PEPE? Both launched on DEX long before hitting Binance or Coinbase and made early users 1000x profits. But with great freedom comes responsibility. You need to: - Manage your wallet (MetaMask, Trust Wallet, etc.) - Avoid scams, fake tokens, and phishing - Understand slippage and gas fees And if you get hacked? There’s no customer support. 90% of stolen crypto is never recovered.

🧵Where Do I Buy Crypto? A complete beginner’s guide by @learningcrypto.eth 1. The First Question: Where Can I Buy Crypto? If you're new to crypto, the first question you'll ask is: “Where can I actually buy crypto?” There are two main platforms: - CEX (Centralized Exchange): A company runs the exchange and holds your crypto for you. - DEX (Decentralized Exchange): A permissionless protocol where you trade directly from your wallet. Each has pros and cons. Let's explore both.

Key Insight: Jumpers may seem smarter, but they face two systemic risks: 1️⃣ Entering/exiting at the wrong time 2️⃣ Misreading the market direction Missing just a few big green days can destroy long-term gains. Conclusion: ✔️ You don’t need to be perfect, you need to be consistent. ✔️ Let your capital stay parked in the market. ✔️ Build slowly. Grow with the cycles. ✔️ Crypto rewards conviction, not impulse. 💡 Long-term mindset. Long-term wealth.

Investor vs Market Timer. Why Consistency Wins in Crypto. When it comes to investing in crypto, there are two mindsets : 1. The Long-Term Investor – Adds capital consistently over time – Doesn't worry about short-term price swings – Stays in the market year-round – Portfolio grows incrementally, day by day – Capital is always “working” 📈 Power comes from time in the market, not perfect timing. 2. The Market Timer (“Jumpers”) – Tries to predict when to enter or exit – Chases highs and panics at dips – Capital is in and out of the market – Gains depend on guessing both direction and timing correctly 🧩 97% of jumpers fail. Only 3% win and even they can’t do it forever.

🧠 Cast 4: The Wise Path for Crypto Beginners. If you’re just starting in crypto, here’s the best advice: Keep it simple. Stay with strength. 🔸 Bitcoin isn’t just a coin → it’s a monetary revolution. 🔹 Ethereum isn’t just a platform → it’s the heart of decentralized innovation. Chasing the next 100x coin can be tempting, but most of those plays are short lived. Survivors win not by chasing every trend, but by holding strong positions through cycles. Here’s what you won’t hear from influencers: 🏆 Smart investing is about patience, education, and risk control, not gambling. Start with BTC and ETH. Learn about custody. Understand how networks work, and then explore deeper. Your future self will thank you.

⚠️ Cast 3: The Hidden Risk of Altcoins No One Talks About, Let’s talk about something critical: Altcoin survival rates. Of the top 10 crypto assets in 2013, only 3 are still around today: 🟠 Bitcoin ($BTC) ⚪ Litecoin (LTC) 🔵 Ripple (XRP) The rest? → Either dead or irrelevant. Why? Because altcoins are startups, most never reach mass adoption. They have: Unproven teams, Temporary hype, Short product cycles, High regulatory risk Statistically, only 10% of altcoins launched today will survive the next 4–5 years. This doesn’t mean you should avoid all altcoins. But it does mean: → Don’t go all in on the latest "ETH killer." → Don’t assume longevity just because a token pumps. Instead, use altcoins for strategic diversification, not as your core.

📊 Cast 2: Why Bitcoin and Ethereum Should Anchor Your Portfolio? In every bull market, the pattern repeats: Bitcoin and Ethereum move first. Altcoins follow later, if they follow at all. That’s why the smart move is to build your crypto portfolio from the ground up: 🔹 Base Layer (Low Risk) → Bitcoin & Ethereum → Long-term conviction assets → High liquidity, real use, proven security 🔹 Mid Layer (Moderate Risk) → Altcoins with solid fundamentals → Tech that’s early but promising → Still volatile, but not vaporware 🔹 Top Layer (High Risk) → Meme coins, new launches, hype tokens → High reward, but high uncertainty Your exposure to each layer should reflect your risk appetite and experience. But for beginners, BTC and ETH aren’t just safer, they’re essential.

🎯 Cast 1: New to Crypto Investing? Start Here. If you're feeling overwhelmed by crypto, you're not alone. Newcomers often struggle with: - Reading charts 📈 - Securing assets in wallets 🔐 - Timing market entries ⏱️ - Understanding the ecosystem 🌐 It’s a lot to take in. But here’s the truth: ⏳ The beginning feels hard, but it gets easier and even exciting over time. Once you truly understand crypto, your perspective on money, ownership, and the future will never be the same. So where should you start? With the two digital assets that form the bedrock of this industry: 🔸 Bitcoin ($BTC) – the original, most decentralized and secure 🔸 Ethereum ($ETH) – the foundation of decentralized applications and smart contracts Before chasing hype coins or trying to time trends, learn these two inside out. They’re your compass in this new digital frontier.
