Engineers (all kinds) ask uncomfortable questions. Notice edge cases. Care about correctness, constraints, and reality. That can feel threatening to people who prioritize vibes or weird social hierarchies over truth.
Would you want to walk over a bridge, fly on a plane, or live in a building built by an engineer who doesn’t ask questions? Gross, Not me.
It’s annoying having to explain this to people.
