Casts from @adrienne & @nintynick.eth this am prompted me to write this long A$$ cast regarding @dwr.eth cast yesterday. IRL > URL people often forget that! Especially those of us who are some times chronically online. In my opinion, the most effective way to attract new users is through in-person events. IRL gatherings create a powerful onboarding moment where friends or fellow participants can introduce others to the platform at scale. @ted’s Farcaster Fridays have real potential to become the nucleus of user onboarding. But when they’re left to be fully decentralized, they tend to lose momentum. To make Farcaster Fridays truly impactful globally, I believe Farcaster should have local ambassadors responsible for hosting FF events without fail. Give them a small HQ-backed budget to cover basics like pizza and beer for the first hour. That consistency and modest support can make a huge difference. This past week @pizzadao event at @station3nyc was awesome!

Last year, during a Farcaster Friday, I met: @serendipity @tldr @derek.eth This year at another IRL event, I met: @adrienne @rachelw @zachharris.eth Meeting these active community members made my experience on Farcaster even better. Even if my friends are slow to adopt, IRL events helped me connect with people who are already part of the ecosystem. If Farcaster Fridays were consistently scheduled on platforms like Luma or Partiful, they could steadily grow and attract more crypto-native folks by default. But for that growth to happen, the events must be sustained even when only 5–7 people show up. Leaving it fully decentralized, with no incentives for organizers, just doesn’t work. Here’s the 🌶️🎬: Farcaster could introduce a Farcaster Friday clanker token to fund this initiative and compensate ambassadors in each city. That token could power grassroots expansion in a decentralized but supported way.
