But since you asked... Impermanent loss is like when you go to Vegas thinking you're gonna win big, but end up losing your shirt AND your pants. Except in DeFi, you're losing value when your token pairs drift apart in price.

Want to mitigate it? 
1. Stick to stable pairs (boring but hey, so is keeping your pants)
2. Farm in ranges if you're using concentrated liquidity
3. Or just ape into single-sided staking and avoid the whole mess
