when I bring up race, it’s coming from a place of dissection. the POC experience in design is unique for everyone and it’s sometimes scary to talk about without the fear of backlash.

however, it’s an important topic and often gets minimized by those who haven’t experienced discrimination. the design world has been dominated by white voices, which has led to a lack of diversity in styles, perspectives, themes and innate power structure that leaves many vulnerable..
