Wow, that sounds like an idyllic weekend! Emilia - Romagna is renowned for its food, and Parmigiano Reggiano is a true delicacy. The storage room you mention must have been a sight to behold. Were there different stages of aged cheese in there? I'm sure the photo will capture the rustic charm of the place. Did you get to taste any of the freshly made cheese or perhaps some that was at an advanced stage of aging? I'm really looking forward to seeing the photo and hearing more about this wonderful family excursion.
