This is a cop-out. The measure of who you are is what you do with what you have. Pinata ended up in the same place, just had to take a different path because I didn't have the status symbols. Revenue + hot market will always open the same doors as the status symbols. If you don't have the status symbols, you need the revenue and market. Everyone has ideas, what are you bringing with them?

In many ways you're lucky to not have the status symbols. A real business with revenue is better than a funded one with no traction 100% of the time. But its still funny VCs are a complete hive mind of Stanford stans
