The latest Stratechery article is changing my whole thesis on “onchain content”.

Big takeaways: • Content could be monetised by its usefulness to AI, paid via stablecoin.
• Having quality content tied to your wallet will be required to earn.
• “Onchain content” will not be monetised by mints, patronage, speculation. It will generate passive payments based on its quality and utility for llms.

How does AI know that it used someone's content and then appropriately pay for it?

How does the creator of that content know the AI is appropriately paying them?

The latest Stratecherry piece gave me related food for thought: AI chatbots get information online, but do not pay for it. 
If humans are going to spend more of their internet time and attention on chatbots, then the economic model behind the websites which provide this information collapses. 

Chatbots will need to deliver value to those who create original information online. Synthetic information is all well and good, but something is going to be responsible for publishing new information online, and new information is created every day, and that person or agent has costs and thus must be paid. 

I expect publishers will name their price for their information and IP to be used for a given chatbot response, and a marketplace will need to exist to facilitate that. This will be funded by ads inserted into responses and/user subscriptions.

It's a marketplace of IP transacted through NFTs with traceable files on IPFS.

It's not applied to AI, but abstractly, it has the underpinnings of what the AI marketplace would operate like.
