Sometimes, I wonder what really counts when we receive a gift. 

Is it the thought that counts or the actual gift itself. 

If I am aware the current financial situation of my friend isn’t good, a simple happy birthday note would absolutely make my day. 

But people don’t even try.

Even if it's something as little as a pencil, the feeling that someone thought about getting me this melts my heart
