If it wasn't already apparent, this makes very clear that Israel *knew* it needed U.S. aid to achieve its aims and that it attacked Iran and derailed U.S.-Iran nuclear negotiations *before* securing any U.S. commitment to military intervention.

There is no credible way that Israel alone can destroy it."

Israel knows that it cannot fight a protracted war with Iran, and will inevitably fail over time. Now it has provoked a conflict with Iran. Will the United States save it?
