with this realization, I left my job. and now, whenever people ask me (already joking) when I'm coming back, I realize something inside me is broken - I can no longer do what could be done without me

one of my dearest professors reached a similar conclusion early in his life so he went on to work on something where he was irreplaceable, where vision mattered more than execution
