Twitter has shown how hard it is to break the network effect, even when it’s run terribly. Ethereum is going from strength to strength as a network, so I can’t picture a crypto future without it playing a major role.

Still if my understanding is correct, we can’t have a L2 top heavy network (L2 networks worth much more than L1) or the network won’t be economically secure. So ETH must accrue substantial value in a world where the Ethereum ecosystem does well.

But the narratives around L2s, data availability, execution & settlement layers have me less certain that most of the value of this network will ultimately accrue to ETH, than I was a year ago.
