Arthur Hayes, the former founder of BitMEX, has said that the altcoin season will only begin if Bitcoin breaks through $110,000 and reaches a range of $150,000 to $200,000 with high trading volume.

Hayes predicted that this would likely happen in the summer or early Q3, after which capital would begin to flow into altcoins. According to him, unlike the 2021 cycle, in which almost all tokens rose, in the new cycle, only cryptocurrencies with strong support and a coherent structure will attract investor attention.

He also warned that many tokens that have already lost 95% of their value are unlikely to make it into the new cycle. Hayes went on to say that Bitcoin could reach $250,000 by the end of this year and $1 million by 2028.
