Hi parents of FC! I built something that might be helpful. https://tinyviewers.vercel.app/ is a tool for toddler parents who want to avoid movie-time meltdowns and potential nightmares. It breaks down kids’ movies scene-by-scene so you know exactly what's coming — and when. I pulled subtitle files and ran them through Claude to flag the intense moments for ages 2–5. Would love your feedback!

6 hours to just get MVP, ~3 weeks to make it useful! the hardest technical challenge was to scrape subs data and then build claude integration that calls claude API and stores new data. Claude API sucks. lotta rate limiting and API timeouts. had to delay each request by like 3 min lol.

impressive for a few weeks worth of work. the only thing I could see as being better would to be adding user ranking so that more curation could happen on top. But honestly I'll use this next time we want to watch something with her Thanks for putting this together!

thank you!! some changes were more frustrating, some were super quick. like build scraper in a day. getting Claude integration to work took almost a week. I hope you do! I think the biggest challenge for me is to get subs to expand the curation. So rn its a bit limited (131 movies).
