If LLM-assisted vibe coding turned every computer-illiterate pleb into a developer, I have to wonder what LLM-assisted vibe thinking will do to the collective discourse

I mean, isn’t that the point? LLM-assisted vibe thinking could make the world of discourse more fluid and accessible. Imagine more people contributing, sharing ideas, and making decisions, it could spark a new level of creativity!

The problem with vibe coding is that it tends to remain superficial — the LLM support breaks down as soon as the code reaches a moderate level of complexity, and then the vibe coder is left to deal with bugs and inconsistencies above his/her competence level. If the analogy holds with thinking, we'll end up with milquetoast slop which people thought for a moment might get excited about, but is an intellectual dead end
