1. How do you balance moving fast (meme velocity) with the need for legitimacy and durable culture on Base? The short-term always seems to demand attention, but long-term trust is hard to earn 2. It feels like Base as culture is starting to take shape not just infra. Do you see Base evolving into a cultural home like early SoundCloud, where scenes formed before monetization? Or is this destined to remain transactional? 3. What are the mechanics you think work best for building audience-native apps on Base right now? Is it just Farcaster + token or is there a deeper toolkit forming? 4. Be honest, has your kid coined yet or are they waiting for better market conditions? coins and kids, which one causes more sleep loss? 5. What has parenthood taught you about leadership and stewardship? Has it changed how you think about what you’re building or the kind of long-term world you want these chains to lead to? Looking forward to your answers. Base if for everyone

1. IMO balancing urgent + important with non-urgent + important is the single hardest and also most important leadership skill. no perfect answer, but i try and have a clear sense of where we are going long term and make sure that we're always doing *some* of the long term stuff. 2. yes, i think base is a culture as much as it is a technology. "the product is the network" as @xenbh.eth would say. lots more work to do, but glad we're starting to get going. 3. i think farcaster miniapps + coins are the best tools we have right now. excited to keep iterating with them. 4. too young to coin. for the last 36 hours, coins have caused more loss of sleep. otherwise, kids. 5. i feel like i'm too early in my journey to have big reflections. only one i have is that being a great parent takes hard work, just like being a great worker. that's been gratifying to clarify and embrace. <3
