what surprised me was the cyberbrokers team think deploying drifters was the next move, to me it felt like a cyberbrokers duplicate project https://x.com/josiebellini/status/1929638988949999624

i think they might have listened to their discord members too much, to me their discord is just an echo chamber, imo if they had experimented/partnered with other apps like POAP/farcaster/lens instead of focusing on metaverse, they could have brought a fresh air i really think there's so much more potential for the cyberbrokers and mech lore, so much, those two have really good narratives

Mmh.. Poap could have been fun, unsure about launching memecoins here for each authentic ideas. Maybe the Paradigm Found could have been a nice mini app yes ^^ But asking to 10k characters to create their own lore is too much I'll watch closely what @nodefoundation will do, IMO the fully onchain culture will stay niche for a while. But they'll stay

not asking them to launch memecoins, but tap the web3 social aspect more on web3 adjacent social media, rather than sticking strictly to X cyberbrokers actually has the lore no? just not deep enough what's node foundation?

Tbh, a year ago, it was hard to get attention around here if you weren't tipping degen (or build on Base). Can't blame them to focus where the reach was ^^ They have, and the story is really insane. Maybe TPL wasn't pushed enough yes, but pixel Brokers could be integrated in Soulbound, mechs in Nifty Island (and in any web3 virtual worlds). But I agree with @chainleft , crypto has a culture problem. I've seen it here a countless of time, they dgaf about NFT ("no PMF", only open editions, on chain summer joke, no proper integration of Manifold -except for Base-, 0 post on /nft, 0 post regarding art marketplaces closure, PFP copycats everywhere...) So why going on a hostile place when people are supposed to be your peers ? Node Foundation bought the CryptoPunks IP and is going to be an archive node dedicated to onchain art (if I understood correctly)

Agreed, story is insane, that's why i love it, i really think it wasn't explored fully. Indeed a culture problem, the space is still so raw and the way it's designed right now invites a lot of bad actors that can escape unscathed, just minor setbacks for a lot of them. Looking forward to see more of node foundation
